What's new?
Clash Detection
ConVoid has enhanced its capabilities to include clash detection and coordination directly within Revit. This upgrade enables you to run clash detection across all disciplines - centralizing coordination workflows.

The workflow remains consistent - a simple switch from Opening Mode to Clash Mode with a single click. Users can initiate clash detection between two selected groups of elements, such as HVAC and plumbing services. ConVoid automatically places 3D clash markers within the model, ensuring that clashes are clearly identified and systematically organized for review in both 2D and 3D views.
ConVoid Manager
We implemented several minor improvements to the ConVoid Manager. The table settings are now saved individually for each discipline, allowing you to customize the table according to each discipline’s specific needs.
Additionally, we have reactivated the “Placeholder” feature, which enables you to manage placeholders that are created, for example, when joining openings.
Furthermore, when openings are joined, the new opening is now added within your table’s view range rather than at the end of the table.

Dimension Void
We have improved the feature "Dimension Void". Now you can do a multi-selection of filters to apply various requirements to specific groups of openings in one step.

Web-based License Manager
Our new web-based License Manager offers a range of enhanced features:

Multi-Admin Management:
Manage up to three administrators who receive full insights into your license.
Export to Excel:
Easily export usage analytics to Excel.
User-Based Blocking:
Block individual users instead of machines.
Project Insights:
Allow ConVoid to track opening data, providing valuable insights into each project’s progress.
Support Insights:
Gain detailed insights into your support requests.
Customers using the web-based License Manager must sign up on our new platform to gain full access.
ConVoid Revit® Families
To further enhance the capabilities of ConVoid, we have introduced new parameters and symbols to the existing families.
New Parameters:
[Preserve Oversize]
Prevents the oversize values from reverting to default when changes occur.
[Version Stamp]
Improves tracking of model versions during the calculation of openings, determining whether an opening has already been updated based on the model.
[Group Name]
Will be used in future releases to group issues.
[Assigned To]
Will be used in future releases to assign issues to a team or user.
New Symbols:
Note: You can continue working with older ConVoid families. Either disregard the new features or manually add the new parameters using our Shared Parameters File.
New Family - Clash Marker:
We have extended the ConVoid Library with the Clash Marker family. This family allows you to run clash detection and mark clashes in 2D and 3D.
New Advanced Parameters:
New advanced parameters can be individually added to ConVoid families:
[Chat Log]
Once this parameter is added, the ConVoid Manager will store chat comments in a readable format upon closing.
[Elevation Base Level – Axis of Void / Upper Edge of Void / Lower Edge of Void]
When added, ConVoid will automatically specify the elevation of the axis, upper edge, or lower edge of the void relative to the base level.
[Elevation Top Level – Axis of Void / Upper Edge of Void / Lower Edge of Void]
Similar to the above, but relative to the top level instead of the base level.
Updated Structural Opening Families:
The Structural Opening families have been enhanced with additional symbols and oversize parameters.
Sample Project
The ConVoid Sample Project has been updated to support more advanced testing and is available for Autodesk Revit® 2021–2025.

In Conclusion
We continuously strive to improve the accuracy and performance of ConVoid. Experience these enhancements firsthand with the new update. Don’t wait - try ConVoid 1.6.0 today and advance your multi-disciplinary coordination.
